We are officially back in business in Wisconsin and looking forward to hanging with so many friends and craft supporters to the north. Cans and draft will be readily available in the coming weeks and we’re kicking things off with Milwaukee as you read this. Madison will follow as we jump off the week of May 15.
Wisconsin is a second home to SOB. I’m (Ed. note: SOB President John Barley) from there and we have a number of big things in store in the coming years for the state. We’re thrilled to be kicking off our partnership with General Beverage and if you haven’t yet seen, we’re also hiring a Market Manager for Wisconsin. Apply yourself or tell your friends and family.

Saturday, April 1st is a big day. Two brand new cans will be released to the world alongside a brand new coffee beer we’re calling Pain Café, and Pain Café’s younger brother, Pain Cave.
We have a lot planned in a short window but the main principle of Saturday, April 1 is to have a good time. These beers are not available for pre-sale and will be available while supplies last. Keep in mind that all of our beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized. Keep these beers cold and drink them fresh.
The Old Order 2017 begins Saturday, March 4 with the release of Limousine of the Damned. This intrepid blend of Russian imperial stout, American barleywine, and Scotch ale aged twelve months in bourbon barrels took home a bronze medal in the experimental beer category at the 2015 Festival of Barrel Aged Beers.

Before you commit any of your hard-earned dollars to purchasing Most Important Beverage of the Day or Beverage of Champions, I want you to know the ins and outs of these beers, how we make them, why we love them, and what you can expect to taste.
The announcement of these two beers means that coffee beer season at SOB is upon us.
Within the walls here at the brewery we look at 2017 as the beginning of Solemn Oath 2.0. This year we’ll be celebrating our fifth anniversary, which is crazy. With your ongoing support we have accomplished some incredible things.
We have cans all over the Chicagoland market, an incredible amount of supporting accounts in the draft world, and our wood-aged beer membership, The Old Order, continues to grow and thrive. With this growth comes a renewed focus on innovation that I can tell you is part of our foundation in 2017, 2018, and beyond.
The Old Order exists for those who want to make sure that they can get their hands on our wood-aged beer releases without the risk of them selling out or having to wait in long lines. Proudly, we’re able to say with wood-aged bottles being released for the first time in 2016, more than 90% of this beer reached the hands of members of The Old Order and their invited guests. This is something we will continue, and we hope a few of you will take advantage of this opportunity.
In 2017, we’re expanding The Old Order program ever so slightly. We’ve learned a lot from our initial rendition of The Old Order and the overwhelming support of this group has been humbling. Throughout 2016, our production team has focused on brewing, aging, blending, and packaging this set of beers to deliver the highest quality, most interesting beers possible. From creative new event concepts to the experiences built around our quarterly releases, our business and marketing team has strived to give you experiences with and access to SOB like never before. All of this resulted in this making more than double the wood-aged beer than we ever had before, and sharing it in new ways.
This November and for a limited time Solemn Oath beers will be pouring across the boroughs of NYC. We’ll be making new friends throughout the day at breweries, bars, restaurants, and many other spots around town and celebrating beer into the wee hours each night.
